Privacy Policy

Introduction
Welcome to YesOrNoAI. We take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
Information Collection
Information We Collect
YesOrNoAI is designed with minimal data collection in mind. We collect very limited information:
1. Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: We may collect basic information about how you use the service, such as pages visited and features used
- Device Information: Basic device information such as browser type and operating system
- IP Address: For basic security and analytics purposes
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use essential cookies to ensure the website functions properly. These cookies include:
- Session Cookies - To maintain your session state
- Preference Cookies - To remember your language and theme preferences
- Local storage - To keep recent random results on your device until you clear them
Analytics and Third-Party Advertising
We may use analytics providers such as Google Analytics or OpenPanel to understand page visits, device categories, and feature usage. When enabled, these providers may process IP addresses, browser information, page URLs, and cookies or similar identifiers. We use aggregated information to improve the site, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse.
To limit abuse of the AI endpoint, an application instance keeps a one-way hashed counter derived from the network address for an approximately one-minute window. The counter is not written to application logs and expires with the window or instance. It is a best-effort interface safeguard, not an advertising profile.
Feature events use only predefined fields such as tool type, interface language, whether a question was entered, run count, a fixed result category, and a tarot card's fixed machine identifier (for example, major-00). Question text, wheel option text, tarot card names, and reading prose are not included in analytics events.
This site may display advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve, measure, and personalize ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. If we allow other third-party ad vendors or ad networks to serve ads, they may also use cookies or similar technologies.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You may also visit AboutAds choices to learn about and manage personalized advertising from participating third-party vendors. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove ads; it changes how ads are selected.
Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland
Where required by law or Google policy, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The consent interface explains relevant advertising cookies, local storage, vendors, and personalization before those activities begin, and lets eligible users change or withdraw their choices.
Optional AI Readings
AI readings do not start automatically. Only after you click “Generate” does the site send OpenAI the tool type, interface language, and a fixed result category (yes/no/maybe, heads/tails, positive/negative/neutral/vague, or upright/reversed). A tarot request also sends a fixed card identifier plus the card name and fixed short summary looked up from our deck on the server; those fields are not user input. The request does not include question text, wheel option text, local history, or other free text. OpenAI processes these fixed fields to return an entertainment reading, subject also to OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy. The site does not intentionally write request bodies, provider error details, or generated readings to application logs.
Information We Don't Collect
- We do not require you to create an account
- We do not require your name, email address, or other direct identifiers unless you choose to contact us by email
- Your free-text questions, wheel option text, and local history stay in your browser and are not sent to the AI-reading endpoint or analytics providers
- We do not put email addresses, telephone numbers, or other personally identifiable information into ad requests or page URLs
Use of Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the service
- Improve user experience
- Analyze service usage for improvements
- Prevent abuse and ensure security
Information Sharing
We do not sell your direct personal information. We may share or permit processing only as needed:
- When required by law
- To protect our rights, property, or safety
- With trusted service providers (such as hosting services) who agree to keep the information confidential
- By the analytics and advertising providers described above, which may process cookies, device information, IP addresses, and other identifiers
- By OpenAI, only when you explicitly request an AI reading, to process the fixed tool, language, and result categories described above
Precise Location and Sensitive Information
The site does not request or collect precise GPS location and does not use health, religion, race or ethnicity, political opinion, sexual orientation, financial hardship, or other sensitive information to build advertising audiences. If a future feature requires precise location, we will explain the purpose and request express permission before collection.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Third-Party Links
Our service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of each website you visit.
Children's Privacy
Our service is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or build interest-based advertising audiences from child-directed activity.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Know what information we have collected about you
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of non-essential cookies
- Withdraw consent or object to certain processing where applicable law provides that right
