About YesOrNo
Making decisions simple and fun
YesOrNo is a free collection of online random decision-making tools designed to help people make quick decisions when facing choice paralysis. Whether it's everyday matters or moments when you need a little inspiration, our tools are here to help.
Our Mission
We believe that sometimes the best decision is simply to make one. Our mission is to help people break free from indecision through fun, simple tools that make life easier.
Who We Are
YesOrNoAI is operated by an independent website product and editorial team. We design, maintain, and test the browser-based random tools, and we write the decision education published in the Guides section. The site is not affiliated with Google, any tarot organization, a counseling practice, or a professional advisory firm. We do not present random results as expert advice and do not sell personal predictions.
Our Editorial Approach
Tool pages explain more than button mechanics: they describe appropriate use, failure modes, and situations where randomness is the wrong method. When an article discusses decision research or psychology, we prefer primary studies, systematic reviews, and authoritative institutional material, and we list sources at the end of long-form guides. The editorial team writes and structures the material for this site; we do not scrape articles or republish third-party text with superficial wording changes.
We distinguish facts, interpretation, and entertainment deliberately. A coin or wheel supplies a random selection, not a discovered “correct answer.” Tarot and Magic 8-Ball prompts are reflective entertainment, not predictions. Decisions involving medicine, law, money, safety, consent, or serious irreversible consequences require reliable information and an accountable person.
We update pages when tool behavior, research context, or relevant policy changes. Readers can report factual errors, broken sources, accessibility barriers, or unclear explanations through the Contact page. We review the evidence and correct the page or its sourcing when a change is warranted.
Randomness, Privacy, and Data
Instant answers, coin flips, and wheel selections prefer the browser’s cryptographic random-number capability when it is available. Each result is generated independently, so short streaks are a normal feature of random sequences. Recent-result history is stored locally on the current device and can be cleared by the user; question text is not required to be uploaded to our server to generate a result.
The site may use aggregate analytics to understand page visits and feature performance, and it may display advertising through Google AdSense after approval. Cookies, identifiers, third-party advertising, and user controls are disclosed separately in the Privacy Policy. We will not ask visitors to click ads to support the site or allow ads to obstruct a tool or navigation.
How the Site Is Supported
The core decision tools are free to use without an account. The site plans to fund hosting, maintenance, and editorial work through clearly separated display advertising that does not interfere with the main content. Advertisers do not choose editorial topics and cannot purchase recommendations or conclusions in the guides. If sponsorships or affiliate relationships are added later, they will be disclosed prominently near the relevant material.
